When I began studying martial arts at BBSA, I was nervous and shy about beginning such a journey this late in life, as I am a woman in her 40s. The staff has been phenomenal with me and my daughter as we navigate through the world of Karate, Warrior Krav Maga, and Kali. They are patient and understanding of all limitations and concerns as well as helping us to reach our goals and bringing to the surface a newfound self-confidence. They have welcomed us with open arms, given inspiration at all times, and stayed consistent with their instructions, all while staying true to the AFKA oath to which they have all sworn. They truly are a delight to train with and their enthusiasm is infectious! The joy they have in training people is magnificent and evident in everything they do.
